The District 113 Education Foundation is happy to announce that it has funded the following grants during the 2020-21 school year, thanks to the support of our community and to the innovation of our District’s dedicated and talented educators.

Culminating Forensic Science Lab Activity for Remote and In-Person Learning: Murder at the Old Field – An innovative online classroom resource for Criminalistics Students that includes forensic science labs, classroom discussion, assessments and a 3D crime scene and grade book. Updated Computer For the DJ Club – Enables students to learn valuable job-related skills: working with a computer, manipulating DJ software and hardware, appropriate and timely response to clients (school clubs, athletics and students), and cooperative skills. Drone Footage Project – Under the umbrella of HPTV and the Media Center at HPHS, this powerful STEM tool will be regularly utilized in HPHS and District 113 videos. Learning the Art of the Chinese Paper-Cut – Beautiful and theraputic art aids in students’ emotional and theraputic learning. Allows students to be creative, patient and calm while telling their stories. Weifang Wang, Highland Park High School
